Xbox One Experiences Online Issues
The Xbox One launches today in 13 countries and as expected, just as with the PS4, there were a couple of launch issues. Chief among these was an issue discovered within hours of the console’s launch in Australia and Europe resulting in intermittent connection issues.
Something smaller to crop up was the lack of Dolby options on the console but that will remedied in an forthcoming update. Essentially users can’t choose whether they get Dolby 5.1 or 7.1 audio right now.

Back to the online issues, the problem has been resolved for now and connectivity seems stable but Microsoft is working to determine the root of the issue to prevent it from happening again.
“Microsoft can confirm that all online services have been restored. We are investigating the root cause of the disruption and will continue to keep customers updated as information becomes available,” a Microsoft representative told Games Industry.
In the event that the problem should resurface, Microsoft has a solution for installing the recommended Xbox One day one update with the console offline but has pulled the relevant files and instructions opting to work directly with customers who need support.
Apart from this, the Xbox One’s launch appears to be going very well.
