Sony’s Milking Continues, As Gran Turismo 7 Could Release Next Year
Forget that Gran Turismo 6 is releasing next month. Then try and forget that Sony has announced microtransactions for the current-gen (can we say that anymore?) title. Instead focus on the fact that Sony is already suggesting that Gran Turismo 7 could release as early as next year.
Now, please try and tell me that this isn’t a cash grab. Seriously.

According to series creator Kazunori Yamauchi, Gran Turismo 7, which is slowly sounding like GT 6 except for the PS4, could arrive as early as next year. The creator expressed his interest in working with the more powerful hardware, and brining the (arguably) iconic racer to the next-generation.
“We don’t want to take too long on Gran Turismo 7. Best-case scenario? Next year. In GT6 we really had to tune the software 100 per cent to maximize the PS3’s architecture, but of course the PS4’s hardware is much better, so I think the overall quality of the game across the board will be boosted when you come to play it.”
Yamauchi previously mentioned that he would ideally like Gran Turismo 7 to be complete within one or two years, but it’s sounding more and more like the developer chose to split the current and next-gen versions of one Gran Turismo over two titles. Which would make business sense, if Gran Turismo titles were still any good.
But hey, if you’re a fan, then you have two games incoming really, really soon.
