Check Your Inbox, You Could Have A Free Xbox One Game Waiting
Something rather interesting happened yesterday. Amongst all the trolling and debate that occurs on our infamous Whatsapp group, Marko up and appeared with an email that basically said he had scored a free Xbox One title. Why? Well we didn’t really know if it was legit until later that day, when a few people started getting the same emails.
Marko was rewarded with Killer Instinct, the exclusive fighter coming to the Xbox One. Now the game is already free to play, but not all the fighters will be unlocked (read: DLC). However, the email Marko received indicated that he would receive all 22 fighters for free, just for being a long-time fan of the Xbox.

So is it related to years of Xbox LIVE subscription? That was my first guess, but later on in the day a few Tweets started cropping up that indicated players with high Gamerscores were being sent free Xbox One titles via email. Now if that’s not an awesome way to reward those who have sunk thousands of hours into your console, I don’t know what is.
It’s a clever bit of marketing on Microsoft’s side too, because it makes the hardcore Xbox fans even more loyal to the Xbox One despite all the backwards and forwards over the past few months leading up to the release. Although it is a bit strange this was only done a few days before the actual launch, and Microsoft doesn’t seem to be making a big deal about it either.
Why not? I have no idea, but it might be a good idea to check your inbox if you know you have a particularly good Gamerscore. Maybe you’ve just picked up your first of many Xbox One games, on the house.
