Telltale Is Giving Us Exactly What We Want With Season 2 Of The Walking Dead
Telltale finally revealed several details regarding their upcoming sequel to one of the games of the year last year, The Walking Dead. Season 2 has been a talking point for a while now, but only yesterday did Telltale confirm who players would be taking control of in the next 5 episode saga. And yes, it’s exactly who we all wanted.
A slightly older, smarter and short haired Clementine. Nice to see that she learned something from Lee.

The teaser trailer above does a good job of pulling on those heart strings when you hear that all too familiar conversation, but also reintroduces us to some pretty iconic locations from the first title. Whether or not we’ll revisit them wasn’t confirmed or denied, but Telltale did have this to say about Season 2.
The Walking Dead: Season Two – A Telltale Games Series will continue the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned at the outset of the undead apocalypse, now left to her own devices to seek safety and survive in a world gone mad. Now assuming the role of an ordinary child, players will struggle to outwit both the dead and the living in situations that will test their morals and control the flow of the story through their decisions and actions.
Just like the first, Season 2 will contain 5 episodes that release a month or more apart, and I really do advise hopping on from the start rather than waiting for all of them to be out. The game is available for pre-order now at $22.40, a nice 10% discount because it’s a pre-order, and will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, PC, iOS and Vita at launch. Telltale also hinted at more news to come soon regarding platforms, so I wouldn’t rule out next-gen availability either.
As for a release date, Telltale have promised that the season will start this year still, but have yet to give a solid date. Knowing the developer, and announcement will come days before the actual release, so stayed tuned.
Excited for The Walking Dead: Season 2? Let’s just hope Telltale manage to pull off even more memorable and gruesome decisions in their follow-up.
