rAge 2013: We Interview The Lead Game Designer On Watch Dogs
This year at rAge was especially exciting for the eGamer team, because it was the first year that we managed to do a ton of video work for interviews and exclusives throughout the event. With Adam and Azhar taking over all the juicy indie news (which should be out today and later this week), some other members of the team and I tackled the more AAA focused interviews, like this one with Watch Dogs Lead Game Designer Danny Belanger.
After watching a rather (boring) demo that was open to the public, AG and I got the chance to sit down with Danny and ask him about some of the gameplay we had just seen, what Aiden’s moral compass is like and whether or not we’d be seeing a lot more Watch Dogs in the future. Out of all the interviews we did this weekend (we did lots), this is by far my least favourite due to my moronic choice of a seating position. So bear with us, I promise the others are a lot easier to watch.

That said, Danny really enlightened us to some features of Watch Dogs we haven’t yet seen, such as segments of the game, which will force you out the shadows. Danny also speaks about how Watch Dogs took ideas and concepts from other major Ubisoft franchises and made them work together. Give it a watch, and let us know what you think about Ubisoft’s new franchise below, which is sadly looking more and more dull ahead of its November release.
