rAge 2013: Hands-On With Razer’s Gaming Tablet, The Razer Edge
Razer is a pretty big brand here locally for PC gaming peripherals. I personally love their products, but even I would be skeptical about their not so new but highly innovative gaming tablet, the Razer Edge. Razer has supposedly created a portable solution to PC gaming, but does it deliver what it promises?
Well from the short time we had with it at rAge last weekend, I’m pretty sure it does. Marco and I sat down with a Razer representative and spoke about all things Razer, but aside from the Razer Blade laptop everything on show was already available to buy on the expo floor. And to be honest, a gaming laptop doesn’t really get either of us that excited.

But seeing a game such as Dishonored run on High settings on a tablet definitely changed our demeanour. Getting to try the Edge for ourselves, I can honestly say that if I had the money I would invest in one. Despite being a bit weighty and short on battery, the Edge truly delivers in terms of raw power, delivering some truly stunning visuals and performance with many current-gen titles. And the best part? It’s al exactly the same as your PC.
Sadly though, there’s still no word on a local release, so for now you’re left to hope and dream or import it for a thick wad of cash. Either way, the Edge certainly made an impression, and I look forward to more time with it in the future.
