PlayStation Exclusive Content Isn’t All That Exclusive
You know the very exclusionary exclusive content that PlayStation users will be receiving for Assassin’s Creed Iv and Watch Dogs on PS3 or PS4? Well, the big surprise is that the exclusive content isn’t quite as exclusive as we were all led to believe.
Anyone who buys Assassin’s Creed IV or Watch Dogs for PS3 or PS4 will receive an hour of exclusive content but it turns out that the content will only be PlayStation exclusive for six months.
- You’ll Be Able To Play (Expensive) PS2 Games On Your PS4 Now | 2 months ago
- Jessica Jones Disempowers Its Male Characters And The Effect Is Refreshing | 2 months ago
- Hell Is 30 000 Deathclaws Tearing Through Boston And It’s Glorious | 2 months ago
- Sony Santa Monica Is Teasing Something Truly Strange | 2 months ago
Thereafter it looks as if the content will be up for grabs as DLC to anyone who has the game on other consoles. It has yet to be confirmed but the above video highlighting the next-gen console points clearly states that the exclusive content will only remain so for 6 months.
Just because Ubisoft can make it available doesn’t mean they will though they almost definitely will because they want your money. Yeah, don’t expect the content to be free if you own anything other than a PS3 or PS4.
And so the tradition of next-gen timed-exclusives continues.
