Play Games For A Kid With Cancer At The Chasing Inspiration LAN In Durban
Chase Tanner is a 16-year-old Leukemia Patient who resides… uhm, somewhere in Durban. Look, I don’t do d’aww very well so let’s just roll with it. I was approached by long-time reader of the site Haig Harold Tait about a LAN that he and a bunch of friends are organising in order to help raise funds for Chase. He wanted some help with the coverage of the event in order to raise awareness and get more exposure.
Only a fucking pleasure, sir.

If you’re from Durban and you’re a fan of helping out kids with cancer, then you should definitely check out the Chasing Inspiration LAN, which is happening on Friday, 8th November all the way until Sunday, 10th November at the Atlas Campus, over in Morningside.
The organisers are still in talks over what games, competitions and prizes will be available, however two competitions are confirmed, namely Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: GO, and the current floor space sits at two hundred gamers.
There is a R110 entrance fee, and a R40 spectators fee, with all money including booking fees going to Chase’s fund.
The event currently has a legitimate event listing in case you were thinking “scam” or anything, where you can go and get tickets early.

Look, if you’re from Durban and you enjoy doing the LAN thing then there’s really no reason for you not to participate in this one — unless like me you’re writing exams during November. Think of it as a practice period for the FRAG Showcase, if that still happens.
It’s for cancer, guys!
