GTA Online Knows If You’ve Been Naughty Or Nice

Much like the NSA, Santa and the stalker in your ceiling Grand Theft Auto Online keeps track of your actions with its reputation system. The game will evidently employ a ‘birds of a feather’ match-making method. Good players will be paired with good players and bad with bad.
GTA Online’s menus explain that abusive and malicious players will be labelled as ‘Bad Sports’ and only paired with their ilk. Conversely, one of the load screens suggests that good players, the nice guys, will be rewarded for their favourable behaviour.

This system, provided it is implemented properly and based on some actions rather than peer opinions of a player, could be great. It would be great to enter a game and know that because you’re a good guy online you won’t have to contend with assholes and you’ll be better off than them because of all your perks. Granted, it is ironic that in a game such as GTA being the honest, good guy has positive ramifications.
It’s only day two of GTA Online so we have yet to see all these features and implementations unfold. How has your experience of GTA Online been so far? Assuming you managed to get some game time.
