Even Intel Thinks GTA V Is Headed To PC
Grand Theft Auto IV was an absolute travesty on PC, saved only by the amazing modding community that grabbed it with both hands and created some truly awesome stuff. It’s a wonder then why the PC community is so eager for Rockstar to release a potentially eually flawed GTA V for PC, but after actually getting to play I certainly wouldn’t want to be left in the dark. And it seems like Intel thinks the exact same thing.
Intel marketing director Chris Silva spoke in a recent interview with PC Gamer about how bad it was for Microsoft to keep the Halo franchise from the PC, and how it evidently hurt them in the long run. Silva believes that Rockstar won’t make this mistake.

“At least with Grand Theft Auto I don’t think it’ll be console exclusive very long. But that’s what happens when you have a brand new launch with two companies that have lots of money trying to make sure they have content.”
“Somebody paid a lot of money to make sure that title was exclusive.”
Well with a launch that is breaking records left, right and centre, it’s hard to imagine Rockstar is feeling any financial pressure to bring the game to another platform, but I do believe they realise there’s a massive market just waiting on them.
This acknowledgement from Intel does not confirm anything though, as it wasn’t too long ago that Nvidia seemingly let the cat out the bag about GTA V on PC, later retracting the statement and slating it as enthusiasm on their part and nothing more. That’s basically what I think is happening over at Intel, with the company enthusiastic about GTA V on PC but not actually knowing if Rockstar is busy on it.
And we’ve all heard the rumours of course, with Rockstar seemingly listing a job position for PC development and murmurs of plans to bring it to the master race. And of course there’s always that petition with something like 40 000 signatures, which I’m sure got their attention.
Just make a move Rockstar, seriously.
