Cyberpunk 2077 Will “Most Probably” Come To Next-Gen
CD Projekt is already developing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for next-gen consoles and PC. Suffice to say it looks incredible but that’s not why we’re here today. Actually, I don’t really know why you’re here. What about the developer’s other game that’s in the works – Cyberpunk 2077? Well, nobody really knows at this point, not even the game’s creators.
We’ve seen one CGI trailer and maybe a few sketchy details regarding the game but nothing concrete, we don’t even know what platforms it will release on. Conventional logic would suggest the same consoles as The Witcher 3 but it could just as well be a Wii U exclusive.

While talking about the size of the team at CDP’s studio, business development manager Rafal Jaki said some odd things about the launch platforms for Cyberpunk 2077.
The studio has around 210 employees who are split into teams. The red team, which has over 100 people on it, is focusing on The Witcher 3. The black team, is smaller and working solely on Cyberpunk. Meanwhile a third, “sizable” team, is working on the impressive engine powering those games.
Jaki said things are going “really, really well” for the studio and that all three teams are doing incredible work.
“I don’t want to brag or anything, but really the stuff they’ve come up with is mind-blowing,” said Jaki adding that while Cyberpunk is definitely coming to PC, it “most probably will” also come to next-gen consoles.
“But we can’t confirm or deny because it’s too early for that,” he added.
If it’s the same engine then surely it would release on the same platforms, that’s my thinking anyway. Till we see Cyberpunk though we have The Witcher 3 to occupy our thoughts.
