Battlefield 4 Gives Us Our First PS4/Xbox One Visual Showdown
Grab the popcorn people, because things are about to get really entertaining, really quickly. The guys over at IGN have managed to put together a bit of a visual comparison between the Xbox One and PS4 using the recently released shooter from DICE, Battlefield 4. All comfortable? Because the show is about to begin.
First off, run the above video at 1080p, because without that you’re really not going to see the small differences. Secondly, this is one title from one third-party developer, so while it is a good indication to see what platform Battlefield 4 runs best on, it’s not a comprehensive tale about which console will ultimately run every game better than the other.

With that out of the way, I think it’s safe to say that the Xbox One takes this round. The visuals certainly look a tad crisper than the PS4, but unless you were running the two right next to each other you’d probably never notice. Much like the comparisons made between the Xbox 360 and PS3, unless it came to an Unreal title.
I can’t wait for everyone to disagree with me, so please don’t hesitate in the comments below.
