You Might Want To Be Careful With GTA V On The Xbox 360
Today is kind of a big deal to a lot of people around the world. If you’re not exactly sure why that is, then I’m not entirely sure what hole you just crawled out of. But hey, we’re all for new readers, so welcome! Let’s quickly get you up to speed on a day that is bound to make some sort of gaming history book out there, with the release of GTA V bringing an end to one of the biggest hype trains I have ever seen.
All around the world people have waited in queues at scary hours of the morning to get their copies. Many have simply taken the day off work to play Rockstar’s next entry into the popular franchise, and I know more than a few that have taken more than just one day off. It’s a gaming phenomenon, and one we probably won’t see replicated for some time, even with next-gen consoles just around the corner.

But if you’re an Xbox 360 player who has or is still waiting for their copy, you may want to just breathe for a second and read this before you experience something pretty nasty. Rockstar has advised all Xbox 360 users to not attempt to install the “Play Disc” of GTA V, as it will severely affect performance. The Xbox 360 version comes with two discs, and players are forced to install the first one, titled “Install Disc”. Just don’t try the other.
Rockstar Support on Twitter provided this information late yesterday, recommending that players do not attempt installing the disc under any circumstances. It is unclear whether this is just a bug or the way the game was intend to be played, but it would be odd if players could never install the disc.
Regardless, it’s not that big of a deal, and it’s actually even easier to now play GTA V. So, why are you still here and not tearing shit up in Los Santos? I’ll join you soon.
