GTA V Has Nothing On GTA IV With 4K Visuals
I was browsing around for something to write about and found some news which might have been worth covering but instead my eye settled on this gallery of images showing GTA IV with 4K visuals on PC. For those of you who don’t know, that’s essentially twice the visual clarity offered with 1080p HD.
Compare this to GTA V which does look pretty good for such a massive open-world game. This is what happens when you don’t release GTA V on PC, Rockstar. The modders make sure that the GTA they do have looks way better.

These visuals are rather mind-blowing.
Though its rendered in 4K, the quality has been scaled down in these images and this isn’t what doctored screenshots look like, this is what the game looks like in motion.
Modder Raphael Smith, armed with a dangerous PC and the post-processing mod icEnhancer ENB put this all together thanks to an arsenal of all-new textures and lighting effects. After 5 years, this is probably as far as any modder will get with GTA IV.
Is this comparable to what we might experience with GTA on next-gen? There’s plenty to see on Smith’s Flickr page.
