Dishonored Is Getting The GOTY Treatment
In today’s industry, is harder looking for a game that doesn’t have a GOTY edition than searching for one that does. With DLC becoming a staple part of every title’s main course, it’s tempting to wait a few months and pick up the entire package for a reduced cost. You know, how games used to be released the first time around. But I digress.
Thankfully, the next title getting the GOTY treatment is one that you might actually consider getting. That is, of course, if you haven’t already picked up Dishonored, one of the finest tieles of 2012. The Dishonored GOTY Edition was officially revealed yesterday after a series of rumours, being approved by the Australian Rating Board a few days prior.

The GOTY Edition will include the game as well as all the released DLC, which includes Dunwall City Trials, The Knife of Dunwall, The Brigmore Witches and Void Walker’s Arsenal. The narrative DLC packages, namely The Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches, are pretty exceptional and add to the Dishonored lore quite well, so I would seriously recommend this edition to anyone who has yet to experience the stealthy arts of Dishonered.
The Dishonored GOTY Edition will be available on October 11th, although we have yet to receive any official pricing. That said, I’d expect it to be a wee bit cheaper than a brand new title, but at that time you might be saving up for the end of year gaming boom anyway.
But hey, at least we get to look at the stunning cover art.
