Valve Could Be Working On Something With A 3, But It Isn’t Half-Life
Be honest with yourself, you weren’t really expecting to wake up this morning and hear about the possibility of Half-Life 3 again, were you? Oh, you really were, well I’m sorry about that because the latest leak from the Valve offices (literally) isn’t about Half-Life 3. It does, however, feature the fabled number.
Leaking from a recent tour of the Valve offices, one lucky of the Reddit Dota 2 community managed to snap a shot of a PC monitor while passing by, which contained references to Left4Dead 3 and Source 2. Or course, that shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone familiar with the extremely popular Left4Dead series, but it is still something that Valve have not spoken about or revealed.

The screen that was photographed contained a rather large list of source file references, but closer inspection reveals the name Left4Dead 3.
Is this a slip up from Valve? I highly doubt it, considering they knew people were coming to tour their offices that day. No, I honestly think this is something planned to generate some sort of hype around a possible third entry into the popular co-op zombie killing title, maybe a few months before it’s officially announced to the public.
And I bet if you try hard enough, you’ll find something in the image that adds up to Half-Life 3. I’m sure someone will at least.
