The Batman: Arkham Origins Collector’s Edition We’re Possibly Not Getting
It’s not the greatest morning to be a Batman Arkham fan in South Africa today. We’ve heard rumours about the suspected Collector’s Edition that will reach our shores, but late last night Warner Bros. confirmed that the edition we were all expecting will be a UK exclusive. It’s ok, you can cry now.
The edition in question an 80-page art book, metal game case, the Deathstroke Challenge Pack, and a “1st Appearance” Batman skin. But of course, the real draw here is the 12-inch statue of Batman holding the Joker up over a ledge, which is just far too awesome for any Batman fan not to drool a little bit over.

It was rumoured that this would be the official Collector’s Edition for the whole of Europe, meaning that we’d probably see it here at launch too, but an official press release revealed that the edition is an exclusive to Amazon UK, meaning that even other countries in Europe will have to go out their way to get it. Of course, you could always import the game from the UK, but be prepared to pay that little bit extra to actually get it here.
If that is an option for you, then it should be noted that the Collector’s Edition will retail for £80, and will only be available for Xbox 360 and PS3. No Wii U love once again, but even more shocking is the lack of a PC version. That’s just a low blow.
Right now, we have no special or collector’s editions to boast about, but the normal version of Batman: Arkham Origins will launch in October later this year.
