PS4 Vs Xbox One – Graphics Comparison
Sure, PS4 has its exclusive titles that look amazing and Xbox One has its exclusive titles that look amazing but what about the games in between, the games that release on both console? Which console makes the game look better? Well, the correct answer is neither because there’s almost always a PC version that is simply superior. However, people seem to care about this triviality a lot.
On the current gen of consoles games look largely the same. The small differences come in with the way each console handles lighting, textures and detail. Any differences are almost always too small to really take much note of. Now, nobody has been able to do a comparative graphics test with the Xbox One and PS4 side by side just yet but Eurogamer and Digital Foundry have done something rather bold and elaborate to simulate the potential outcome.

They put together equivalent systems using components more or less analogous to those found inside Sony and Microsoft’s consoles. In fact, AMD provided the core graphics tech for both Xbox One and PS4 so don’t expect much difference.
Above you can see the data pulled from these equivalent systems. Overall the PS4-esque system performed better but remember these are only roughly equatable to the actual products and not definitive. Also, the differences are really not significant. As much is evident from the comparative video above.
Is now a good time to point out that graphics aren’t everything?
