Plants Vs. Zombies 2 Finally Launches Today
Well it’s damn well about time. Despite that being the official name for the sequel to one of the most addictive games ever created, it’s been a while since Popcap has said anything about Plants Vs. Zombies 2 since its delay last month. The game launched in Australia despite the delay, but finally iOS users around the world will be able to download the flora fun, for free.
Plants Vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time (can someone say mouthful?) will ditch the $20 price tag of its predecessor, instead opting for a free-to-play model that allows players to pay for upgrades that essentially allow them to breeze pass difficult stages. Of course, you can opt to not buy into these game-breaking mechanics and engage the more traditional way, but it’s yet to be determined if certain stages will require some cash dropped here and there.

Early reviews suggest that the game is full of content, surpassing the original title, and that most players can get through the title without spending a cent. Well, so much for that theory then.
If you’re a fan of the franchise then you’ll be glad to know that Plants Vs. Zombies 2 is probably already available for download on iOS, for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. That’s, of course, if you’re not on the South African iTunes, which is still just utter crap.
Also, there are no plans yet for an Android release. At least, not from Popcap’s side.
