New Villain For Batman: Arkham Origins To Be Revealed This Week
It’s probably Firefly. Okay, now you know who it is so you don’t even have to read this article. Bye bye. I’m trying something risky here. For those of you who are still here, Batman Arkham announced on Twitter that this week would see the reveal of a new villain for Arkham Origins. There were also a series of hints because evidently the Riddler is running this Twitter account.

The Twitter account has confirmed the reveal has nothing to do with “feline related characters,” nor is it revealing “Shark Repellant Bat Spray.”
That’s pretty disappointing, I would’ve liked to see Tiger Shark in action. No, that’snot a real villain. Not even from batman’s psychedelic days where LSD trips were the best way to fight crime.
Fans suggest this may be pointing to Firefly being the latest villain to join the ranks of Black Mask, Bane, Deadshot, Deathstroke and Copperhead. Firefly is a little like Mysterio from Spider-Man. A background in film visuals effects means that his crimes rely mostly on optical illusions and effects. For everything else he has a flamethrower and guns. However there have been multiple iterations of the character over the years and it will be interesting to see which direction WB Montreal takes the character in considering they’ve already given Copperhead a gender swap.
Arkham Origins is set to release in October on all current gen platforms. Look for the villain reveal on Wednesday or Thursday.
