Here’s An In-depth Look At The Improved Xbox Controller
A controller is a pretty simple thing, right? A plastic shell, some wiring and buttons. Seems simple. I’m being facetious, of course it isn’t. We’ve already seen just how many designs came before the final design of the Xbox One controller, not to mention the amount of tinkering and development that went into it.
In a new video, Xbox Live director of programming Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb along with Zulfi Alam, president of the Xbox accessory business, talks about the improvements made to the new controller. small things here and there that add up to make a big difference.

In fact, the details are actually rather boring. Smaller analogue sticks, buttons closer together, the D-pad moved closer to the motherboard for greater precision. Even the bit about the trigger haptics distributing rumble across the controller more evenly. It’s all very technical stuff.
However, put the controller in your hand and you’ll likely feel an immediate difference. I like the new DualShock 4 controller for PS4 but once again, I think Microsoft may have built the more comfortable controller.
