Gamescom 2013: The Division Gets Exclusive Xbox One Content, And A Brand New Platform
The division, Ubisoft’s MMO announced at E3 this year, will be receiving some exclusive content on the Xbox One when released sometime next year. This was somewhat the entire tone of the Microsoft press conference, with exclusive content being thrown out left right and centre for the next-gen console.
Thing is, Microsoft never elaborated on what exactly the exclusive content would be, instead focusing on fleshing out more of the Smartglass features that have already been announced. Smartglass will allow players to log into your game directly, and take a more RTS-style of control over the game. Players using Smartglass will help change the outcome of a match, being able to send in airstrikes, highlight enemies for friendlies on the ground and dish out buffs.

It’s an incredible feature that is making full use of technology that Microsoft has hardly utilised this generation, and seeing it done in a more meaningful way is interesting.
But that wasn’t the only news regarding The Division this morning. Amongst all the Microsoft news, Ubisoft quietly revealed that, due to fan demand, The Division would now also release on PC. Can I get a hell yeah?
The Division will release sometime next year for PS4, Xbox One and now PC. Get excited.
