Gamescom 2013: Dear Esther Dev’s Game Rapture Hits PS4
At Sony’s Gamescom conference, it was announced that Dear Esther developer The Chinese Room is developing a new project for PS4 called Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. The game seems to be dealing with a post-apocalyptic setting and story.
The game is being developed using Crytek’s CryEngine 3, and the timeline for Rapture seems to be in the 1980s, from the look of things. The teaser, shown at the conference, depicts a range of bleak ominous imagery including a solar eclipse. The tagline for the teaser says “This story begins with the end of the world” which gives you a general idea of the whole feel of the game.
