Celebrate The Winter Of Arcade On Xbox LIVE This August
Being from Durban means two things: You’re statistically very likely to be either brown or tanned, and you don’t know the concept of winter. At all. Seriously, I’m wearing shorts right now and I’ve been wearing shorts for weeks. Not exclusively, nor constantly, but you get my point. Sorry, the rest of you from other parts of South Africa.
Anyway, the guys over at Xbox have decided that it’s time for a very special winter promotion over the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and they’re calling it the Winter of Arcade — Summer of Arcade if you’re in the northern hemisphere; you might remember that one from last year — which, this August, sees a bunch of new games releasing over on Xbox LIVE Arcade for cheap prices. Debatable, but, we’ll go with it for now.

We were recently sent a press release containing the games, as well as some images and information for each title. None of them really strike at the eye, except for that last one. Sure, it’s got nothing on last year’s Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition, but we’ll go with it because after the complete dearth of games in the last few months, we’re about ready to play anything… and some of these games might actually prove to be quite awesome. Here’s some quick information of each game, which we’ve summarised for your reading pleasure.

Where possible, we’ll definitely try and get a review out for you, so that you can get a better idea of whether it’s worth the investment in Magical Sexy Points, or whether it’s a better idea to wait for the bigger triple-A releases next month. Let us know in the comments if there’s anything that has caught your eye.
