You’ll Have To Wait A While For The Next-Gen Diablo III
Last year, we had Diablo III finally release for PC. The long-awaited sequel did not sit too well with fans of the popular action-RPG franchise, with many claiming that the game had been watered down to suit console play. Well, truth be told, that’s probably what happened, especially when you consider that Blizzard announced earlier this year that Diablo would make its debut on the PS3 and Xbox 360 is little over a month’s time. But hey, why stop there.
Blizzard have now announced that Diablo III will be launching on next-gen consoles sometime next year, meaning you’ll now have three different ways of experiencing a sequel that has already disappointed thousands of hardcore fans. The Action RPG has been confirmed for the PlayStation 4, but not the Xbox One just yet, although that will probably change very soon.

Blizzard have explained why they’re choosing to delay a title, that is mostly finished, until next year, saying that the extra time will allow them to craft more unique experiences for each console. Previously, Blizzard spoke about how they plan to use the DualShock 4’s touch pad for inventory management. Shivers.
Blizzard also took this opportunity to once again confirm that there are no plans to bring Diablo III to any portable devices. Besides, you’d probably have to wait until 2015 for that to happen anyway.
Diablo III is set to release on Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 3rd.
