You Probably Won’t Want The Current-Gen Watch Dogs
So far all we’ve seen on Watch Dogs has been from the next-generation versions of the title. Starting off with PC and slowly moving onto Xbox One and PS4, the current-gen version of Ubisoft’s next open-world IP has kept quiet in a corner somewhere, afraid to show the world what it’s made of. And after seeing some footage today, I can understand why.
So, it’s not confirmed as current-gen footage, but this new trailer for Watch Dogs better not be the same version that is launching on next-gen console, because it looks absolutely terrible. Some ugly textures, awkward animations and a general lack of detail suggests that this version of Watch Dogs is running with a little less horsepower behind it.

Also, Aisha Tyler is in this new trailer. She gets hit by a truck. Do with that what you will, because I honestly don’t see what Ubisoft were trying to say there.
But seriously, if you were thinking about picking up Watch Dogs on current-gen consoles, you may want to reconsider. Especially when you think about all those gorgeous visuals in all previous trailers. It actually brings a tear to my eye.
