Which Game Was Your Guilty Pleasure?
We all have guilty pleasures, I’m not going to divulge some of mine for fear of impending police arrest and/or general public abuse. Whether it be sexual deviancy, watching Disney Channel, listening to Taylor Swift or self mutilation we all have those pastimes or preferences that we’d rather not have others know about. So I’m doing the very counter-intuitive thing here in asking you to reveal that guilty pleasure.
I’m not talking about the schoolgirls you entertain on weekends although if you’re willing to share then by all means the floor is yours. No, I’m talking about those games which you enjoyed when you really shouldn’t have. The games that you know are bad or disgusting or just too weird to talk about in civil conversation. Or perhaps it’s doing a certain taboo thing in a game. I certainly enjoyed watching all the fresh and intriguing death screens in Tomb Raider and would sometimes kill Lara just for the fun of it.

Let me get the ball rolling. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations was a mediocre game but I still loved it at the time and feel ashamed for that now. I draw great pleasure in occasionally playing a game on Easy and feeling like a God. I’m loathe to admit it but there were moments where I actually really liked Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.
I’m struggling to think of any recurring or ongoing guilty pleasures possibly because I’ve lost all sense of a conscience. Regardless, you might still have a conscience to make you feel guilty. So what’s your guilty gaming pleasure?
