The Xbox One Controller Isn’t Really Too Expensive
I do say that in a relative manner of speaking. What I mean to say is that compared to the Xbox 360 controller it isn’t too bad. That said, both are a bit expensive compared to some third-party controllers which will do the job just as well. The official Microsoft Store has revealed the pricing scheme for Xbox One accessories.
While the Xbox One will come bundled with a controller, additional controllers will fetch for $60 which is only $10 more than Xbox 360 wireless controllers currently sell for. That’s not great but acceptable when you consider the new tech put into the new controller such as the more sensitive triggers complete with feedback.

Headsets will cost you $25 and an Xbox One wireless controller with play-and-charge kit will sell for $75. The charge kit on its own will retail at $25.
This pricing scheme may be subject to change but don’t hold your breath.
Not surprisingly Sony’s DualShock 4 controller for PS4 carries the same pricetag of $60.
It’s not an amazing pricetag for a controller but it’s tolerable until some good third-party controllers come along.
