PS4 Compatible With PS3 Headsets?
As we know, the Xbox One won’t support Xbox 360 headsets out of the box, due to the console using a new proprietary headset connector port. However, word is that an adapter will allow the Xbox One to support them.
It’s a bit of a relief because many gamers out there choose to invest hundreds or even thousands into high quality gaming headsets, so hopefully that adapter comes through.

Now, according to a ‘Sony official’ speaking to Polygon at the San Diego Comic Con this week, the PS4 will allegedly be able to make use of and connect to PS3 wireless headsets.
Sony will include a basic mono earpiece and microphone with the PS4 (the header image shows it), but if the representative’s claim is accurate, then PS4 owners will be able to use their PS3 wireless headsets.
When considering that the PS4 cannot use PS3 DualShock 3 controllers, it wasn’t always guaranteed that PS3 headsets would work either. The official reasons for DualShock 3 controllers not functioning haven’t been revealed. For now, take this news with a pinch of salt, until it’s officially confirmed.
