Mad Max Gameplay Reveal Is Dusty And Grim
I haven’t watched any of the Mad Max films but I have it on good authority that Mel Gibson is a psychotic racist so he must have really embodied his role as the title character for it to have a lasting impact. Mad Max the game was revealed at E3 earlier this year.
It follows the original films as a dystopian action film with an Australian protagonist where everything seems to end up involving some form of vehicular combat ala Death Race. Technically Death Race is a bad ripoff of elements from Mad Max but the more contemporary film should give you some clue what this is all about.

Mad Max is in development at Avalanche Studios who last did Just Cause 2 so they’re no strangers to over the top action with plenty of zaniness stirred in. The game will place a heavy focus on vehicular combat but it is essentially an open-world action title.
The above gameplay reveal trailer shows us what we can expect Mad Max to look like as well as doing a good job of setting the savage, destitute and desperate tone of the game. There’s also plenty of cars doing car stuff.
Mad Max is set to release next year on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4. Just for the hell of it, there is a new Mad Max movie in the works starring Tom Hardy. If you want to see what a crazy Tom Hardy might be like, check out Bronson.
