GTA V’s Combat Is Pretty Similar To That Of Max Payne 3
And it’s because Rockstar is in charge.
Rockstar, the developer of both games, has had their footage from two recently released games compared side-by-side. In a video created by datarace1, one can clearly see elements from Max Payne 3’s combat scenes moved over to that of Grand Theft Auto V.

The updated combat is probably a good thing. While few felt that Max Payne 3 wasn’t all that, the combat is new-age and promising. One problem fans had with GTA 4 was the combat, and with the change of how this is handled, problems may have been solved in GTA V.
GTA V’s combat scene is very smooth and efficient, and it does have a few important differences when compared absolutely. However, these changes have been made to suit GTA and what the game entails.
