GameStop’s “Unlimited” PS4 Supply Runs Out, Stops Pre-Orders
Late last month it was revealed that GameStop had been given permission by Sony to “open the floodgates” for “unlimited” PS4 pre-orders. Now, in both a funny and surprising way, GameStop has had to close those floodgates, as the standard PS4 edition has been sold out on their website.
However, the more expensive bundles are still available, although limited to one per home.

It’s pretty clear that stocks are limited now. The Xbox One Day One Edition on the other hand, is still available at GameStop.
Of course this isn’t just about GameStop, as on Amazon the PS4 has been doing extremely well for itself as well. The launch day edition PS4 became the best selling console of the year, despite the fact that it sold out in less than a day. All round, demand has been high.
Personally, while this is great for Sony and the PS4, I don’t do pre-orders. However, I will be picking up my console on the first day it releases here in South Africa, having long ago started saving.
