BioWare Recruits An Epic Games Producer For Mass Effect
That’s one more for the squad.
Chris Wynn was the senior producer for Gears of War: Judgment, at Epic Games. Soon, he will be joining BioWare’s development team for the next Mass Effect, in the position of senior development director.

This news came via his personal Twitter account, in which he confirmed the move himself, with the following tweet:
Thrilled to announce that I will be joining @Bioware as the Sr. Development Director on the next Mass Effect!

So that’s kinda cool. Of course, since the new Mass Effect has yet to be revealed, it might well be years before we hear anything substantial of the actual project.
Wynn joined Epic Games late last year, around the same time as the departures of Rod Fergusson and Cliff Bleszinski, together with various senior developers at Epic’s Polish studio People Can Fly, as well as long-term consultant Mike Capps. Not a very long stay, then, and certainly not long enough to consider him some great lost asset. Especially considering Judgment’s lacklustre final product. But who knows, maybe this is the break he needed, and he might prove to be the ace up BioWare’s sleeve?
I sure fucking hope so, personally. Because if the next Mass Effect does not blow my brains out, I’m going to cry.
