Assassin’s Creed Noir… If Only This Existed
At present, I’m very much indifferent towards the Assassin’s Creed franchise. It’s let me down on numerous occasions and Assassin’s Creed III felt like it wanted me to hate it (I didn’t but it tried pretty hard). That said, I still have some hopes for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag because a) it’s looking at least half promising and I genuinely like some of what I’ve seen and b) I still love the series as a concept. Not to mention the incredible way Ubisoft manages to keep recreating the experience of these historical settings.
A man named Simon, who does video game art on his blog, recently took a stab (hehe) at imagining what Assassin’s Creed would be like if you dropped the series into the 1930’s, the sweet spot for dark and gritty noir. Alternatively, check out the current superhero movie scene.

Judging from the one picture, it could be pretty damn awesome although I’m definitely drawing some Hitman comparisons with the red tie. the trenchcoat and fedora are a nice touch and that tie clip is just awesome. Pay attention Ubisoft! Let go of the past… and give us the more recent past. I did not think that one through too well.
