The Two Games I Most Want To See At E3 2013
On the morning before the beginning of E3 2013, is there really any news that anyone is so interested in, right now, that’s not directly from E3?
As today progresses, you will find that an abundance of news will flow, like red wine at a wedding (had to) throughout this evening and into tomorrow and continuing until every last little drop, every last little titbit of information, has seeped through from the mega-event, the world’s premier gaming conference for the press. At least as far as the larger publishers are concerned. So with that in mind, it would be a little silly to talk about something new, something completely unrelated or something that isn’t light in content. It would be folly to introduce a topic to the world that doesn’t care to hear about it right now because all eyes are on E3.

Thus, I’ve decided to instead use this article to talk about two games that I am looking forward to, when E3 kicks into proper gear later tonight.
I mean, it’s not as if there’s anything else to write about, is there?
Dragon Age III: Inquisition
This one ought to be obvious to everyone, what with the whole BioWare fanboy reputation that I’ve earned. (I promise I only mostly love them.) As much as I adored both Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II, I did so quite defiantly to the rest of the world, the opinions of which varied between mild indifference and utter disliking. So a lot of eyes are on Dragon Age III, which with any luck should be shown at the Electronic Arts press conference, if this tweet is to be believed.
I’m really keen on finding out what happens next in the tale, and whether BioWare have taken all the lessons learned, and the extra year they’ve been granted, and done the series the justice it so deserves. I sincerely hope so, because I did not spend six playthroughs of the original game and four of the sequel, just to have a third game that is met with equal amounts of disdain and controversy. BioWare, please don’t fuck it up.
Beyond Good And Evil 2
Jade. Enough said? Okay, fine. Beyond Good and Evil released so many years ago, it’s practically a “nineties kid” meme, now. And yet rumours of a sequel have been around practically since the dust initially settled on the first game. It was that impactful. I’ll never personally understand why Ubisoft didn’t make the most of it, as a cult success. Sure it didn’t sell well, but neither did the Prince of Persia series and they tried damn hard to keep that going, before calling it quits.
That picture above could well just be some internet troll’s idea of a joke, but I am hoping and hoping that during Ubisoft’s press conference tonight, they will bring it out and give me what I know, deep down in my heart, is coming. And when that happens, make no mistake, I will cum everywhere… wait, what?
There are of course other things that all of us are looking forward to, for E3 2013. We want to know more about Microsoft’s policies regarding the Xbox One, we want to see some games from them, we want to see Sony’s PS4 console, we want to find out what else EA has cooking up that they’ve been teasing for ages, we want to see more Watch_Dogs, and so much more. But this little mini-feature exclusive thing, on a day when everybody’s all about E3 and very few people care about anything else, is just my little piece of expectation for later tonight.
Take it as you will, and by all means, hit up the comments and let me know if you too, are keen on these particular titles.
