The Last Of Us Demo Leaks Multiplayer Details
When I say ‘leak’ I mean some intrepid fans stared at the demo for too long until they saw something. In the same way that you can interpret Animal Farm as being about Russian politics but come on, who plays out the Bolshevik revolution with animals? That’s absurd.
The multiplayer on The Last of Us has been rather hyped up although we know next to nothing about it. It’s supposed to be fresh and completely different to conventional multiplayer components. A few overzealous gamers claim to have pulled a number of details on the multiplayer from the recent demo of the game. Sure the logic doesn’t quite follow but these are rumours where logic is a myth and the rules are made up.

The mode reportedly has players forming Clans which they will add members to while fending off infected and Marauders and generally attempting to survive for 12 weeks.
Clans can be trained to better cope with attacks and success will reward players with new members which may suggest NPC’s in the multiplayer.
Some attacks appear to be organic and unscripted and players will have several missions per match. As in the singleplayer, players will be able to craft items from supplies and scavenge off corpses.
Maps will apparently be free-roam with the ability to set up camps. Players and clan members can become infected, which presumably equals game over. Conversely there may be character customisation on offer via boosters.
Fact or fiction? I don’t care too much since the singleplayer is what I’m interested in but if the multiplayer is as unique and interesting as this sounds then it wouldn’t be a bad thing.
