FIFA 14 Gets Precision Movement, Trailer Included
Every year, whenver a new FIFA is released, a new feature comes along with it. It’s hard to believe that after all these years we’re still getting changes to the game. And, it’s probably a good thing that it still happens.
In an attempt to keep FIFA 14 as fresh as possible, Electronic Arts has announced “Precision Movement”. This feature “recreates the dynamic movement of real-world players.”

The step-based locomotion technology has been in development for two years. It aims to allow for as dynamic-as-possible movement.
Precision Movement will affect how players run, too.
Players will now show bursts of acceleration before reaching their maximum velocity, and this wider spectrum of speed unlocks greater build-up as well as more attacking opportunities. For example, attacking players can toy with the opposition by controlling their pace before accelerating to get past their defender.
However, despite the change to running, the key component to the feature is movement. Namely, deceleration and/or change of direction. In FIFA 14, direction change can take place at almost any angle, whereas previous FIFA games allowed for turns limited to 23 degree.
