E3 2013: SCEA Trademarks Online Auction System And Incentive Reward Program For Games, Tagged “Bid for Greatness”
A bit of interesting information has been leaked regarding something Sony might be up to with the PlayStation 4. On the same day as their E3 2013 press conference, Sony trademarked the phrase “Bid for Greatness”.

The trademark, which PlayStation Lifestyle uncovered, says:
Arranging and conducting auctions in the field of computer games, virtual game assets and tropies; Arranging and conducting incentive reward programs to promote the sale of computer games, virtual game assets and tropies; Auction services; Providing consumer information in the field of computer games and video games
Sony will probably be silent on this if asked, but of course it’s anyone’s guess as to what this could be.
It appears to be tied to their ad campaign, and looks like it will be something to enhance the PS Plus experience.
Hopefully we’ll find out in the coming weeks.
