E3 2013: Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Looks Incredibly Fun
Following on from a few leaks and teases from EA themselves, the publishers has announced a re-imagining of the Plants vs. Zombies franchise, namely Garden Warfare. With Plats vs. Zombies 2 being recently announced and scheduled for release in less than a month, a new title in the franchise seems strange. Well, at least until you see it in action.
It sounds like an odd concept, but Garden Warfare took the audience at the EA conference by storm, introducing us to a new class-based third-person shooter that is ripe with Plants vs. Zombies lore. You have Sunflower healers, Pea Shooter infantry and more. The game will also include several boos battles that use some of the tougher enemies from the strategy title that started this franchise off, with Disco zombies and the Gargantuar being the two bosses shown off during the demo.

Gameplay will blend third-person shooting with tower-defence gameplay, allowing players to team up and tackle the zombie horde co-operatively. No word yet on whether this will be a download-only title, but it was curious to see Garden Warfare announced exclusively for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Either way, I want to see more, and soon.
