Dubbed “the end of AI”, the new feature utilises cloud servers to adapt its AI based on other racers. Human racers.
How it works is, the game downloads and syncs data for racing AI over the cloud, based on your racing skill and how other players are racing. Each player’s driver data is then uploaded to the cloud and becomes referred to as their ‘Driveatar’.
Not the most inventive name, sure enough, but still a pretty neat feature. I mean, think about it, you can pwn people in races while you’re nowhere near your console. You can literally defeat your friends while you sleep. Sounds awesome? Here’s hoping that’s exactly how it works.
