E3 2013: First Details & Gameplay For Ryse
Crytek’s Ryse: Son of Rome was first teased two years ago and it’s now been confirmed as an Xbox One exclusive launch title. The game looks beautiful, gameplay looks to be taking a quick-time event direction.
As you may have guessed, the game is set in Roman times and is very reminiscent of God of War albeit more realistic but not necessarily that much less violent. As with any modern shooter, you are surrounded by a team or rather a battalion/army in this case. Gameplay will be handled via your controller rather than Kinect as was initially announced although Kinect gameplay is optional. The game seems to recapture the atmosphere of war quite well and you can check out the full 7 minute gameplay demo.
