What Were The Best Games Of This Console Generation?
I won’t even pretend to believe that a definitive list could be created for the best games of this console generation and frankly, it’s a subjective affair so everybody’s list is going to be different. Unless your name is Joe Average which in itself is anything but. At least your name isn’t Apple.
So that’s really the question this week, which games were the best for you? They may not necessarily have been successful or genre-defining but they might hold a special place in your heart. A top 5 would be convenient.

True to form, I can’t really think coherently at this point in time which was exemplified earlier when I failed to remember how to correctly spell the word remember. Good times. At present I’m trying to construct my top 5 and my brain is throwing random game titles at me so let’s go with that. It looks like I’ll be going with Batman: Arkham Asylum, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Portal 2, Heavy Rain, Assassin’s Creed II and I’ve run out of fingers so we’ll stop there.
The current generation of consoles are from done producing great games and we have some very promising titles still to come but that doesn’t mean we can’t begin to look back on a very memorable Xbox360/PS3 era in gaming.
