“If You’re Backwards Compatible, You’re Really Backwards” – Don Mattrick
After the Xbox One reveal there were many questions surrounding the new console but one thing that isn’t unknown is Microsoft’s take on backwards compatiblity. The new console will not support Xbox 36 games while Sony is still sketchy on that topic with PS4.
However, Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business president, Don Mattrick (aka Douche Smile according to Azhar), took it perhaps a bit too far when he said, “If you’re backwards compatible, you’re really backwards.”

Now, I was never expecting backwards compatibility with bated breath and perhaps it isn’t as much of an issue as some gamers make it out to be. As much has been said by Mattrick who claims that only 5% of gamers play previous generation games on the current gen.
Microsoft may implement a similar service to Sony by offering a selection of back catalogue titles online and through the cloud. So, are you part of the 5%?
