4K Gaming Is Possible On Xbox One
4K is the super high resolution video quality that makes HD look bad and while 4K TV’s already exist and 4K pictures are becoming a big thing, 4K video has yet to get off the ground because it isn’t feasible just yet for mainstream media. According to Microsoft, Xbox One does support 4K video and this may extend to gaming at some point.
In an interview with Forbes, corporate vice president of marketing and strategy Yusuf Mehdi clarified the point about 4K gaming on the Xbox One. “There’s no hardware restriction there at all,” says Mehdi.

So the console may be able to support it but will developers be willing to take the extra effort required to produce games in 4K quality?
Meanwhile, Xbox One does not support SD video and only has an HDMI output so if you don’t have an HD TV then there’s some bad news for you.
Personally, 4K gaming could be amazing even if it’s clarity would be wasted on my waning eyesight but I don’t think we need it just yet.
