Sony Wants To Attract Females And Casuals With The PS4
Sony has confirmed that it is actively looking to attract both females and casual gamers to the PlayStation 4, but the company hasn’t yet detailed its plans on how that will be achieved.
Andrew House, Sony Group CEO, confirmed the desire to attract more than just gamers with its next-gen console, telling Sun City:
- You’ll Be Able To Play (Expensive) PS2 Games On Your PS4 Now | 2 months ago
- Jessica Jones Disempowers Its Male Characters And The Effect Is Refreshing | 2 months ago
- Hell Is 30 000 Deathclaws Tearing Through Boston And It’s Glorious | 2 months ago
- Sony Santa Monica Is Teasing Something Truly Strange | 2 months ago
“I think the key is to have people — and increasingly women — with different sensibilities creating different games. It is not all about shoot ’em up games.”
“The key is getting games developers — who are going to make the next Angry Birds — excited about the PS4. And they are.”
While the launch games of the PS4 do seem more in line with the male crowd, the PlayStation has been picking up with indie titles and broadened its avenues. I’m certain that the bulk of this plan will be unveiled at E3 in June, so for now we can just wait and speculate. That rhymed, it was unintentional.
