Sony Interested In Bringing DayZ To Consoles
DayZ creator, Dean Hall is currently working on a standalone version of the online survival horror Arma 2 mod that has become something of a phenomenon but there may be something even bigger on the horizon for DayZ.
Talking to The Escapist, Hall couldn’t say anything definitive about a release on a console, but did say that he’s met with Sony about the idea. “It appears to be the kind of game that Sony are interested in,” he said. “I think we just have to wait and see. We’ve talked and met with Sony, and they’re very – you know, they’re obviously interested.”

Sony has taken a distinct interest and Hall was confident that a console version is “almost certain” assuming the PC standalone version holds up.
