Some Familiar Faces Are Returning For Batman: Arkham Origins
We’re slowly getting more and more information regarding the latest Batman title, which will take place before previously released Arkham titles. While Origins will focus on eight deadly assassins trying to take out Batman in a single night, the game will also feature some familiar and fan favourite villains, if a promotional stand is to be believed.
A promotional standee has somewhat confirmed some of the other characters present in Origins. While we already known the infamous Deathstroke will be making an appearance, as well as Black Mask, the standee also shows off The Joker, Scarecrow, Killer Croc as well as Bane. While all of these villains have appeared in some capacity in previous Arkham titles, it certainly is great to hear that heavyweights such as the Joker won’t be left out in the cold. I mean, it’s a night where everyone is gunning for Batman’s head, you would expect the Clown Prince of Crime to make an appearance eventually.

It has been revealed that Black Mask will be the main antagonist in Origins, so it’s unclear whether these villains will simply take part in cameos or if they will contribute to the main plot. Alternatively, they could feature in the game’s already announced side-mission, much like the smaller, self-contained stories in Arkham City.
Either way, it’s will be interesting to see who Warner Bros get to replace Mark Hamill, who ironically voiced the Joker in previous titles. They’ve got rather large crazed clown boots to fill there.
