Prince Of Persia Could Be Back Already
Feels like it was just the other day when Ubisoft announced that the Prince of Persia franchise would be put on hold for the time being in order for it to “breathe”. Soon after that screens and videos of a cancelled Prince of Persia reboot surface, indicating tht Ubisoft was serious about letting the series lay for a while. Or not.
A few screens have appeared on the official website for Climax Studios, all for an unspecified platformer that looks suspiciously like a Prince of Persia title. IGN managed to grab some of the screens and compare them to past lead characters, noting the striking resemblance to the Prince in Sands of Time.

Take note of the white vest, curved blade, red sash around his waist, and dark hair. It certainly does look and feel like the Prince from the famed platformer franchise, and even the mystical background seems to fit in with some of the series’ magical themes.
When asked about the status of the Prince of Persia franchise, Ubisoft simply stated that “there is no new information to share in regard to Prince of Persia.” Additionally they declined to comment on Climax Studios and the screens on their website.
