Match The Song To A Game: Requiem For A Gamer
Requiem for a Dream is quite a dark and disturbed movie and it’s no wonder that the same man went on to make Black Swan. If you haven’t watched it, basically you can sum the movie up with three words: don’t do drugs. It is a really good movie though, watch it if you don’t mind seeing Jared Leto doing drugs and sporting a fringe worse than mine.
Anyway, one of the great things about the movie is its soundtrack, specifically the track Lux Aeterna composed by Clint Mansell. Yes, today’s MtStaG is an orchestral piece. We’re so cultured.

You may recognise it from Inception. It’s a moving tune that has some epic moments and I have no idea how to describe music with any sort of efficacy. Basically it sounds good so listen to it.
As usual, tell us what game comes to mind when you hear this track. Unfortunately there’s no official music video to accompany the song so you’ll just have to listen without having much to see. Close your eyes if it helps.
