Call Of Duty: Ghosts Suddenly Appears
It’s like clockwork really, we get to April or May and suddenly there are rumours of a new Call of Duty, E3 rolls around and said rumours are almost always confirmed, November passes and every loves/hates the game in equal measures for starting the cycle all over again. It’s like the lifecycle of a frog except this frog shoots bullets and tries to be controversial.
Anyway, a box art for something called Call of Duty: Ghosts has appeared through Tesco with a placeholder stating a December release. Usually CoD titles release during November and this is certainly not one franchise to shake things up, in any way whatsoever. A pre-order listing by Target points to something a little more plausible in a November 5 release.

Last month it was rumoured that the Modern Warfare 4 (Modern Warfour?) title would be dropped before the numbers got too high to count on one hand and so Ghosts was picked up as a suitable subtitle. Phantoms was apparently under consideration too.
The same report suggest that Ghosts will be set in the near future with with modern tenants and that the game would only only be available for next-gen consoles and PC. This contradicts what Target and Tesco are saying. Besides, why would Activision not want to make more money?
The official announcement is set to be made on May 1, reportedly. I know a certain eGamer writer will be giddy with joy at this news but I’m pretty indifferent. It’s a new CoD game, so what? Show me something I haven’t seen before. Below is a the boxart being used by Tesco, does it seem legit to you?
